1:02Now PlayingRep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) emerged victorious in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District primary Tuesday after she quit her 3rd District re-election race in favor of seeking office in the more conservative-friendly district.
The two-term congresswoman defeated five GOP rivals in the 4th District primary and held 43.8% of the vote when the Associated Press called the contest in her favor.
Boebert, 37, is expected to prevail in the 4th District general election in November as well. Voters in the Centennial State’s 4th District supported former President Donald Trump by a 16-point margin in 2020.
