8:55Now PlayingWith more Americans watching their wallets, it may be surprising to learn that the average person still spends $1,754 on beauty products per year.
According to a survey conducted last year by LendingTree, 35% of the 1,950 consumers polled said they'd cut back on other forms of spending to keep up with their beauty habits, and honestly, I'm not surprised — I'm a millennial.
We spend roughly $2,670 a year on products, which is just a little more than Gen Zers, who spend $2,048. (If you're curious how that works out to a $1,754 average, Gen Xers drop $1,517, while Baby Boomers only spend $494.)
Although those figures sound high, they still only average out to $51 per week. There's a lot you can get for $51, especially if you know where to go. Like most of New York Post's shopping crew Post Wanted, I find the best beauty products for a bargain on Amazon to save money.
