0:36Now PlayingFrench police arrested a man who was seen climbing the Eiffel Tower just a few hours before the Paris Olympics closing ceremony was set to begin.
The Paris landmark was evacuated Sunday afternoon after the climber was spotted making his way past the Olympic rings adorning the tower about halfway up the 1,083-foot structure.
Video circulating on social media shows cops escorting the shirtless man around the base of the tower, who smiles broadly as he walks past a crowd of onlookers with his hands cuffed behind his back, saying, “bloody warm, innit?” to the lookie-loos.
