The shocking episode unfolded shortly before 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the vicinity of Marathon Parkway and Cullman Avenue, police said.
The brute bandits struck a man, 43, in the foot with a hammer and socked a 71-year-old woman in the face, the NYPD said.
A 32-year-old man, another woman, 44, and two children — a boy, 13, and a girl, 10 — were also in the house but unharmed, cops said.
Police responding to 911 calls encountered a woman who had run out of the house with a baby in her arms, the NYPD said.
