0:23Now PlayingThe US Army issued a blistering statement Thursday that rebuked the Trump campaign for having flouted federal laws to pose for a photo with Gold Star families at Arlington National Cemetery — leading to a physical altercation between campaign staff and a cemetery employee.
“Participants in the August 26th ceremony and the subsequent Section 60 visit were made aware of federal laws, Army regulations and DoD policies, which clearly prohibit political activities on cemetery grounds,” an Army spokesperson said in a statement Thursday.
“An ANC employee who attempted to ensure adherence to these rules was abruptly pushed aside,” the spokesperson added.
