3:56Now PlayingAt least seven people were injured after a gunman opened fire near a highway in London, Kentucky, Mayor Randall Weddle said in a livestream on September 7.
Weddle said no one had been killed in the incident, which closed Interstate 75 for nearly three hours before it reopened.
“We thank everybody for their prayers, their support and throughout the community thank you as well,” Weddle added. “Just keep our first responders in your prayers”.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office identified 32-year-old Joseph A Couch as a person of interest in the shooting and urged anyone with information on the suspect to come forward.
