0:36Now PlayingDoral, Florida, saw intense wind and rain on Wednesday night as the outer bands of Hurricane Helene reached Florida, ahead of the storm’s expected landfall.
Footage from Heli Valero shows heavy rainfall and strong wind gusts, which the National Weather Service said were expected to reach up to 40-50 mph.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) issued a storm surge warning for the Florida Keys and most of Florida’s west coast, forecasting surges of up to 20 feet.
