as posted by the channelABC News host Linsey Davis said tonight's Vance-Walz matchup "reminded" her of President Biden's disastrous debate against former President Donald Trump that preceded a Democratic Party coup removing him from the top of the 2024 ticket.
"It kind of reminded me of the June 27th debate, when Kamala Harris that night said of Joe Biden, 'It was a slow start,'" Davis told David Muir, who moderated the Sept. 10 Trump-Harris debate alongside her.
"I mean, a lot about this debate tonight was weird.
"There were uncomfortable, cringey moments," she added. "But overall I think my takeaway was something that [former Republican National Committee chairman] Reince Priebus said at the outset, which was that JD Vance needed to come away as that humble likable guy from 'Hillbilly Elegy.'"
"It seemed like he did perhaps get some points in that area."
