0:25Now PlayingA photographer captured spectacular aurora borealis dancing across the sky in Grand Marais, Minnesota, on the evening of Sunday, October 6.
The footage, filmed by Carol Bauer, shows red and green aurora lighting up against the starry night sky.
“My husband and I traveled to Grand Marais to see the fall colors and were thrilled to get a great view of the northern lights too,” Bauer told Storyful.
The NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center forecasted minor geomagnetic activity for Sunday evening, which they said had the chance to cause visible aurora in the northern US.
