"A lot of people ask me why I left the Democratic Party, and I say, 'I didn't leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me. This is not the party anymore of Martin Luther King, of Robert Kennedy or John Kennedy. That was the party of peace," he said.
The full stadium cheered so hard for the Trump endorser that he had to wave down the applause.
He spoke about women in men's sports and celebrated that his relative former Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) was the official behind Title IX, which prohibited sex-based discrimination in any school or education program that receives federal funding.
