1:20Now PlayingVice President Kamala Harris stopped by the Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington late on Election Day, ostensibly to take part in some late phone banking.
“How are you doing? Have you voted already?” Harris said, speaking into an iPhone given to her by a DNC staffer.
“You did? Thank you!” the vice president continued, after a pause.
When the room erupted in cheers, Harris turned the phone around to allow the person on the other end to better hear the applause.
However, it appeared that Harris was actually on the iPhone’s camera app and not actually on a call.
