1:03Now PlayingRep. Nancy Mace fired back at a transgender activist who was thrown out of a tech conference for protesting her bathroom bill — later calling the agitator a “raging lunatic, pretending to be female.” NY Post writer Brian Faas shares this story.
The South Carolina Republican shared footage on Thursday of Evan Greer standing with an LGBTQ flag and interrupting her appearance at Georgetown University’s “Summit on the Future of the Internet” in anger at her bill preventing transgender women from using the female-only facilities on Capitol Hill.
While being led out by security, Greer shouted: “We’ve had dozens of trans people die this year because of the hate and lies you’re spreading.”
“Are you gonna stand up for the lives of trans people? … Are we fighting for justice or are we fighting for big tech?” Greer yelled to a smattering of applause.
Mace — who says she’s had death threats over her bathroom bill — remained calm, before delivering an acerbic putdown of the protester.
“God loves him, I love him — but his penis isn’t gonna be in my bathroom,” Mace said, sharing a similar message in her caption along with the video.
