Christie suggested that the non-answers coming from officials including Mayorkas are to blame for the widespread panic over the recent bizarre and unexplained sightings across the Garden State, New York and the country.
“They’re not answering the questions,” Christie told ABC’s “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos of federal officials.
Stephanopoulos noted that Mayorkas has said his department “is monitoring it, they haven’t seen any unusual activity, and they need more authority” to down drones when necessary.
Christie said he agrees that the department needs greater authority over the situation but took issue with Mayorkas’ claims that the unidentified flying objects were not “unusual.”
