Kate Loshkareva, 27, was taking part in a photoshoot with fellow model Shayla welch, 25, in Palos Verdes, California, USA.
Kate decided to get closer to the water for her next shot and climbed across rocks. But the decision quickly backfired when a large wave rushed upwards and threw her off balance.
Despite her attempts to cling on to nearby rocks, Kate was dragged into the water below. Seven long minutes passed until she reappeared and called out from a nearby cave.
She was located a few minutes later, only having suffered a few scrapes and bruises.
