1:05Now PlayingSupporters and opponents of South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol gathered in Seoul on January 3, as the country’s anti-corruption agency suspended an attempt to arrest him after an hours-long standoff with presidential security.
Footage posted online shows crowds gathered outside Hangangjin Station, near to where Yoon resides.
Yoon faces a criminal investigation into his declaration of martial law on December 3.
According to local news, the Corruption Investigation Office for High-Ranking Officials was expected to make another attempt to detain Yoon at the weekend.
