0:44Now PlayingA father of two has been found dead over a week after telling his teen daughters he had to “grab something from the car” during a family trip to a Michigan resort — and was never seen again.
Robert Loren Bacon, 52, had arrived at the Bavarian Inn resort in Frankenmuth on Dec. 27 to meet his daughters, 15 and 13, and his mother for a family vacation, ex-wife Melissa McLenna told McClatchy News.
Bacon arrived at the hotel at 6:40 p.m. and was seen on security cameras bringing his belongings to his room. He then headed toward the pool, where he was supposed to meet his kids, but told them he needed to grab something from his car first.
“[He] was going to his car to get something and was coming back to the pool area to join his family,” McLenna said. “He never returned to his family at the pool.”
