1:11Now PlayingDefense Secretary-designate Pete Hegseth's opening remarks were interrupted by a heckler who slammed him as a "misogynist!"
"Misogyinst!" a man wearing a white sport coat yelled before being escorted out of the hearing room by a Capitol Police officer. "You are a Christian Zionist!"
Hegseth had been thanking God, his wife and his seven children when the outburst occurred.
Another heckler interjected a short time later, causing further disruption.
Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) said he saw a "pattern" brewing and warned interruptions would "not be tolerated."
