As he departed the White House a short time ago, President Trump ripped his predecessor for letting the hurricane devastation in North Carolina "fester" and blamed California officials for not diverting enough water to put out wildfires.
“It’s been a horrible thing, the way that's been allowed to fester,” Trump told reporters on the South Lawn just before climbing into Marine One with first lady Melania Trump.
“We’re going to get it fixed up. It should have been done months ago,” he added. "And we're going to then go to Los Angeles and take a look at a fire that could have been put out if they let the water flow."
