0:44Now PlayingThe National Transportation Safety Board said it will issue a preliminary report on the cause of the deadly plane-helicopter DC crash within 30 days.
NTSB member J. Todd Inman said the agency is working to investigate the wreckage and crew involved in the collision, with an initial report to be submitted within a month.
“Our investigative team will be on scene as long as it takes in order to obtain all of the perishable evidence and all of the fact-finding that is needed to bring us to a conclusion of probable cause,” he told reporters Thursday.
Inman added that the black boxes of the aircraft have yet to be recovered from the river.
