NTSB member J. Todd Inman said the agency is working to investigate the wreckage and crew involved in the collision, with an initial report to be submitted within a month.
“Our investigative team will be on scene as long as it takes in order to obtain all of the perishable evidence and all of the fact-finding that is needed to bring us to a conclusion of probable cause,” he told reporters Thursday.
Inman added that the black boxes of the aircraft have yet to be recovered from the river.
