as posted by the channelA 16-year-old boy was rescued from a mineshaft in Placer County, California after he got stuck in the vertical shaft approximately 50 feet deep on Feb. 10. Placer County Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team used a lightweight, complex rope system to lift the victim to safety where he was transported to a local trauma center for treatment.
