1:41Now PlayingTensions flared as House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer threatened to forcibly remove Rep. Maxwell Frost from a chaotic Tuesday hearing after the Dem rep violated a ban on him speaking for flouting decorum.
Frost (D-Fla.) had used his time to bash President Trump as a “grifter in chief,” which triggered a screaming match and led to Comer barring the 28-year-old from speaking during the hearing.
“So if we wanna look at waste, fraud, and abuse — which I’m down to do — why is there complete silence on the other side of the aisle about looking at the complete grifter that is the President of the United States and the richest man on the Earth,” Frost chided during his remarks.
“Why don’t we investigate the real corruption?”
The slight against Trump, 78, prompted an objection from Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) Comer, 52, then asked Frost if he would “revise” his remark for “improperly” identifying the president.
