Town of Chester highway superintendent John J. Reilly III fired multiple shots, striking the 24-year-old driver in the back when the worker approached his home on May 2, according to New York State Police. The unidentified driver was out on a delivery when he lost his navigation and approached several homes asking for directions. He survived the shooting, but his injuries have been described as potentially life-altering.
