4:32Now PlayingFormer President Joe Biden announced has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer on May 18 and that it has spread to his bones. The cancer, now classified as Stage 4, is no longer curable but it may be controllable with ongoing treatment. Dr. Chris George of the Northwestern Health Network explained that while bone metastasis means the cancer cannot be cured, patients can still live for several years with proper treatment. "Two or three years is very realistic, and some lucky patients get control for four, five, six and even longer," he said.
