Bystanders in the neighborhood could be heard yelling at officials as they took the 2 men. Illinois Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García commented on the incident in a post on X, “while we do not know if the agents presented any warrants before detaining them, any apprehension without due process, including no warrants, is unfair and illegal.”
