The protest, which included a mariachi band, follows several other protests in Atlanta, Chicago and Seattle — as hundreds of protesters were arrested in Los Angeles Tuesday after the city imposed a curfew to curb five straight days of mayhem sparked by federal immigration raids. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott put Texas National Guard soldiers on standby in case the demonstration became violent, according to KENS 5.
