Social media is hailing him a hero after dramatic footage shows him pulling children to safety through thick smoke. Ten residents of the building were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. French news outlet Le Parisian said that Cissé received a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron praising his actions and is expected to be formally honored by the city
