Bernal was supposed to answer questions about the 46th president’s cognitive decline during his closed-door testimony before the House Oversight Committee. Instead, Jill Biden’s “work husband” became the second former White House aide to take the Fifth Amendment during the deposition, invoking his right against self-incrimination. Just last week, Joe Biden’s former personal physician Kevin O’Connor did the same.
