as posted by the channelDEK: The National Weather Service issued a number of flash flood warnings on Saturday evening for Washington and central Maryland, resulting from severe storms that swept through the area. Montgomery County’s Emergency Communications Center fielded roughly 100 calls, with Firefighters conducting dozens of water rescues the county’s Fire and Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said.
