0:18Now PlayingTourists in Istanbul were lured to a doner kebab restaurant displaying images of celebrity “customers” like Mark Zuckerberg and Snoop Dogg chowing down on its food, before they realized that the images were AI-generated.
This footage filmed and posted to TikTok by user @mambo.sa shows the Istanbul kebab restaurant touting images of Zuckerberg, David Beckham, Snoop Dogg, and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson holding up kebabs on July 16.
A watermark reading “Imagined by AI” could be seen on the bottom corner of the display screen.
TikTok user @mambo.sa said that he and his family were visiting Istanbul and looking for food when they encountered the advertisements in front of the restaurant, leading them to believe that the celebrities had been there.
“We realized quickly we had been fooled by AI and recorded it for a laugh to send to friends and family,” user @mambo.sa told Storyful.
