2:48Now PlayingRepresentative Elise Stefanik was heckled and booed offstage at a memorial event in Plattsburg, New York, in her home district. Stefanik (R-NY) spoke at a ceremony to honor John H Zurlo, a Clinton County clerk, but was met with jeers like "shame" and "traitor" from the hostile crowd.
In an X post, Stefanik later responded to the event, saying, "Today #NY21 witnessed shameful conduct by radical Far Left Democrat agitators who disgracefully attempted to drown out and silence a non-political event in Plattsburgh to honor the lifelong service of John Zurlo in Clinton County as the building was named in his honor."
