2:10Now PlayingChinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin set out their vision for a new global security and economic order, in a direct challenge to the United States, at a regional summit on Monday.
At the two-day summit in the Chinese port city of Tianjin for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), Xi said the more than 20 leaders of non-Western countries must ''continue to take a clear stand against hegemonism and power politics, and practice true multilateralism."
Despite no concrete policies being set out, Xi's comments are a veiled attack on the current U.S.-dominated world order.
