Kirk, 31, was a close ally of President Trump and was a powerful surrogate and adviser to his political movement. Kirk co-founded the Turning Point USA organization in 2012 and rapidly built it into a national network of campus groups ellipsing traditional college Republican clubs. "He was a very, very good friend of mine and he was a tremendous person," Trump told The Post.
