2:54Now PlayingThis shocking surveillance video from a jail in northwestern Louisiana captured the brutal 2019 beating of Jarius Brown. During a strip search in the detention center’s laundry room, Brown apparently didn’t squat as directed.
Disturbing footage then shows the pair of deputies unleashing a flurry of roughly 50 punches on the handcuffed man, leaving him with a broken nose, fractured eye socket and a badly swollen face.
One deputy resigned and the other was suspended, but Louisiana State Police initially cleared the pair of any wrongdoing, claiming Brown had been the “aggressor.”
But this graphic video paints a very different picture – and an AP investigation has exposed an alleged coverup.
