Secretary of State Rubio revoked the visas of Abbas and other Palestinian officials in an effort to hold the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority accountable “for not complying with their commitments, and for undermining the prospects for peace,” following Hamas’s attack on Israeli citizens on October 7, 2023.
