2:21Now PlayingExplosions lit up Rio de Janeiro as police clashed with the powerful Red Command cartel, leaving dozens dead and parts of the city engulfed in flames. The massive operation, dubbed *Operation Containment*, saw 2,500 officers storm cartel strongholds just days before the COP30 climate summit. At least 60 suspects and four officers were killed, with dozens more wounded as gunfire, drone attacks, and burning barricades turned neighborhoods into war zones. Authorities called it Brazil’s largest and deadliest police raid in history.
