A cable car malfunction at the Macugnaga ski resort in northern Italy injured four people and left around 100 passengers stranded nearly 9,200 feet above the ground on Dec. 30, officials said. One cabin failed to stop properly and hit a barrier, triggering helicopter evacuations that safely brought all passengers down hours later.
