2:01Now PlayingLong Island Rep. Tom Suozzi waded into a hostile crowd outside the US Capitol on the fifth anniversary of the Jan. 6 riot, blasting the demonstrators over crimes and pardons caught on camera. Hecklers fired back, branding Congress “treasonous traitors,” shouting “fraud,” and warning “next time we won’t be so nice” as Suozzi briefly walked away — only to return for more. The lawmaker later called the group “criminals” and “completely destructive,” recalling he was among the last members to flee the House chamber during the 2021 siege.
