YouTube Description
as posted by the channelPresident Trump on Friday what would 'trigger' a decision to use the Insurrection Act in Minnesota, an idea he's recently teased.
"If I needed it, I'd use it, but I don't think there's any reason right now to use it, he said. "It's very powerful."
The Insurrection act authorizes the president to deploy military forces inside the U.S. to suppress rebellion or domestic violence, or to enforce the law in certain situations. Under normal circumstances, the military is not allowed to participate in civilian law enforcement on US soil. It’s one of the most extreme emergency powers available to a U.S. president, and has not been invoked in more than three decades.
