2:01Now PlayingFBI Director Kash Patel unloaded on a reporter asking him about allegations in a recent Atlantic article that he has ever been intoxicated while on the job.
"I can say unequivocally that I never listened to the Fake News Mafia. And as when they get louder, it just means I'm doing my job," Patel fired back at NBC News justice reporter Ryan Reilly, noting that he had worked more days than his predecessors and touting a decline in murders and drug trafficking on his watch. "I've never been intoxicated on the job, and that is why we filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit," he added. "And any one of you that wants to participate, bring it on. I'll see you in court."
