2:50Now PlayingA powerful 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck China’s southwestern Guangxi region early Monday, killing at least two people, injuring several others and forcing more than 7,000 residents in the city of Liuzhou to evacuate. State media reported that at least 13 buildings collapsed following the quake, while rescue crews continued searching for one missing person trapped beneath the rubble. Authorities also warned of transportation disruptions as railway officials inspected tracks and infrastructure for damage across the affected region.
