Onlookers provided some lighthearted commentary as a 245-foot-tall roller coaster was evacuated during a power outage at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington on Saturday, May 16.
Lonnell Williams captured this video showing people walking down stairs along the Titan roller coaster. Williams told Storyful he was at the Dallas-area park with a roller-coaster club. They were eating lunch when they noticed the coaster above them had stopped.
Voices could be heard providing some levity to the situation.
“That girl is having a fit. I’m her. She’s like, ‘I can’t do this,’” a voice can be heard stating as a rider grips the railing while evacuating. “No. Not today, Jesus.”
“She is me and I am her. That is exactly how I would be. Scared to freaking death,” a voice continues as they watch the riders navigate the stairs.
According to local news outlet WFAA, the amusement park experienced a park-wide power outage on Saturday, forcing an early closure.
WFAA reported, citing a Six Flags spokesperson, that the park experienced an internal technical issue causing an interruption in power. The park reopened on Sunday.
