A security guard at the Islamic Center of San Diego is being hailed for his “heroic actions” during Monday’s deadly shooting rampage that left five people dead, including two teenage suspects. Community members have identified the security guard as “Amin.” Dozens of people flooded the social media comments of Amin Abdullah, mourning the loss a “true hero who gave his life to protect others.”
While police haven’t independently confirmed Abdullah was a victim, authorities said a mosque security guard was killed and “played a pivotal role in assisting, this could have been worse."
