2:32Now PlayingU.S. Southern Command said Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out a lethal strike on a vessel linked to designated terrorist organizations in the Eastern Pacific on May 26. Officials said intelligence showed the boat was operating along known drug-trafficking routes and engaged in narcotics smuggling activities. One suspected narco-terrorist was killed and two survivors were rescued after the U.S. Coast Guard was notified to begin search and rescue operations. No U.S. military personnel were injured in the operation.
