Bodycam footage shows Nowak telling officers he had been stabbed and could not breathe while being restrained, prompting public criticism and a political debate over police conduct. Boon said the force was sorry for the incident and confirmed that officers involved are being treated as witnesses by the Independent Office for Police Conduct, with some reassigned from frontline duties.
