1:16Now PlayingA fisherman spent about 40 minutes battling a large great white shark from the shoreline of Nantucket on June 7 before quickly unhooking and releasing the protected animal back into the ocean. The angler estimated the shark measured more than 8.5 feet long and weighed around 300 pounds. He said it was the first white shark he had caught on the island in 13 years.
