2:11Now PlayingPakistan has released military footage it says shows airstrikes targeting alleged militant infrastructure in Afghanistan's Paktika, Kunar and Paktia provinces during overnight operations on June 28–29. Islamabad said at least 29 militants were killed in the cross-border strikes, which Reuters partially verified using satellite imagery, though the recording date could not be independently confirmed. Afghan officials said the strikes killed 38 civilians and injured 163 others, including women and children. The operation marks Pakistan's second strike inside Afghanistan in recent months, further escalating tensions as both governments continue to dispute responsibility for militant violence along the border.
