1:30Now PlayingAustralian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese narrowly avoided a fall after an escalator abruptly stopped as he arrived at the Australian Labor National Conference in Adelaide on July 23. Caught off guard by the sudden stop, Albanese was heard uttering an expletive before turning to see what happened and then continuing down the stairs. The incident drew comparisons to a similar moment in September, when President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were briefly halted after an escalator suddenly stopped while they were entering the United Nations.
