6:12Now PlayingNew York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced $7.25 million in state funding to provide legal services for about 1,400 unaccompanied immigrant children after the Trump administration declined to renew federal contracts with the Acacia Center for Justice and nearly 100 other providers. Hochul said the loss of legal representation puts vulnerable children at greater risk of trafficking and abuse, while NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani said fewer than 1% of immigrant children obtain relief without legal representation.
