1:36Now PlayingTwo gas tanks exploded at a pipeline facility in Glenpool, Oklahoma, on Monday, August 17, forcing evacuations for surrounding businesses and residences, and a shelter-in-place order at schools. Footage shows thick plumes of black smoke before an explosion causes a huge fireball to erupt into the sky. A piece of a tank can be seen flying through the air.
In a statement on Facebook, Explorer Pipeline said the explosion was caused by a lightning strike. The company later said three tanks containing natural gasoline were involved in the fire.
