6:55Now PlayingCanada’s top provincial leaders are rallying behind Prime Minister Mark Carney as his trade war with President Trump heats up. Ontario Premier Doug Ford called Trump’s 50% tariffs a “bad deal” and vowed Canada would answer “tariff to tariff, dollar to dollar.” British Columbia Premier David Eby went even harder, accusing Washington of trying to “bully” Canada and warning that becoming the “51st state” would be far worse than taking an economic hit. With Trump’s tariffs now hammering everything from lumber and dairy to hockey gear and fishing rods, Canada is firing back with duties on US steel, electronics, appliances and other goods.
